I was drawn to this scene in Shenandoah National Park by the colorful mixture of fall leaves. Nature’s cycle of seasons is beautiful, and I love how these fallen leaves will nourish new growth. I also felt nostalgic as I painted the maples leaves because they remind me of the cold winters that I spent in Vermont at Green Mountain College. I fondly remember watching the community tap the sugar maples from my dorm window.
